River Views – Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the day to reflect on every part of your life and remembering and honoring the persons who sacrificed their lives for our country. during the Civil War. As someone who has newly become a citizen of the United States.  Did you know that Memorial Day used to be observed on May 30th between the years 1868 to 1970.

While this is a day for reflection, I know most people consider Memorial Day to be the start of Summer. I chose this day to go to one of my favorite places – to the river to sit and watch the water, watch the sunset and be still with the calmness of the end of the day and end of the long weekend.

Below are a few of my pictures I took from earlier this evening.
